ABOUT THE COURSE

Written for Families to Complete Together

This training was written knowing that the makeup of families varies. Our hope is that we have created some activities that can be used by a family of most ages and stages, while also providing specific adaptations to help other activities be completed more appropriately within a family. If you have at least one child who is elementary-aged or older, this course is for you!

  • A Desire to Replicate the Family Model

Discuss different types of families, and be reminded that the best option for a child is to grow up in a family.

  • Care that Addresses Physical and Spiritual Needs

Imagine together the amount of work it requires to care for a plant, animal, or child, and then take time to ponder the needs of a child who has experienced loss and trauma.

  • Generosity

Give generously of your time, talent, and treasure, as you are reminded of times you've been the benefactor of someone else's generosity.

  • Obedience

Step out in obedience to God's command to care for orphans as you reflect and complete a final project together.
